Mr. Shen Yingbing

CEO/Portfolio Manager

Founder, CEO and Portfolio Manager of Step Investment Fund I since 2014. Mr Shen is also the Founder, CEO and Director of Step Capital Management (HK) Ltd from 2018 to 2023 and Step Capital Management Pte Ltd since 2023. Mr. Shen has more than 20 years’ experience in the financial industry. Mr Shen had previously worked as Executive Director and Portfolio Manager at HJY Capital Advisors (HK) and Portfolio Manager for Nexvision SPC Fund I and Step Captial China Fund Ltd. He started his trading career as an analyst at a US based hedge fund Primarius Captal. Prior to that, he was a consultant at McKinsey & Company. Mr Shen holds an MBA degree from Columbia University and a bachelor degree from Fudan University (China).

Mr. Cang Biao

Portfolio Manager

Mr. Cang has been in the finance industry for more than a decade, he is a Portfolio Manager and Director at Step Capital Management (HK) Ltd from 2021 to 2023. He later served as Portfolio Manager and Director at Step Capital Management Pte Ltd since 2023. Mr Cang is very familiar with macroeconomic analysis and use this to leverage on market-neutral arbitrage trading. He also in charge of commodity trading, supporting equity portfolio to lower the overall volatility. Prior to that, Mr Cang worked as Investment Manager at Rising Glory Finance Limited and futures trader at a listed company Brightoil Petroleum (Holdings) Ltd. Mr Cang specialized in commodities arbitrage in different market.

Mr. Shang Guoguang

Research Director

Mr. Shang has served as Research Director at Step Capital Management Pte Ltd since August 2025, where he applies over two decades of expertise in consumer goods, healthcare, and technology to deliver sophisticated equity research and fundamental analysis. Prior to this, Mr. Shang founded and managed a proprietary fund under Shanghai Snowball Fund Management Ltd from 2020 to 2024. He also previously served as General Manager at Expedia Group (Shanghai) and held senior positions at international leading enterprises in the technology, pharmaceutical, and consumer goods sectors—including Sanofi China, Shanghai S.C. Johnson, Unilever Shanghai, Kimberly-Clark China, and Nike China. Through these roles, he accumulated profound industry knowledge and hands-on expertise. Shang holds an MBA degree from the University of Hong Kong and a bachelor degree from Fudan University (China).
